National Competition Fund

"It was a life changing experience!" Susan, age 17.
"I gained a totally new perspective on our Constitution." Robert, age 17.
"It gave me a great new outlook on our government and why it works." Tom, age 18.

This is what the students in We the People: the Citizen & the Constitution have said over the years. Not often can one effect such positive change in the lives of young adults. Your contribution to the We the People program does just that!

Your donation will make it possible for the Indiana We the People teams to compete in the national finals in D.C. This year, Indiana has two teams in that national competition: Cathedral High School and Plainfield High School. Will you help them succeed with a contribution to enable them to compete this year?

The We the People national competition is April 21-24, 2017. The teams are raising money for their first deposit due in February 2017. Indiana teams often finish in the top 10 through practice and hard work. This year's teams are studying in the interim months to surpass Indiana's record of top 10 finishes.

This year, the Indiana Bar Foundation board agreed to provide financial support for the High School Mock Trial state champion team going to the national finals in Connecticut on May 11-13, 2017. The students are passionate advocates learning about evidence and cross examination at an early age -- some as young as freshman in high school. Please consider how you can help them succeed with a donation to the "National Competition Fund."

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to help these students attend their national competitions. You will be proud of how these students represent you and our state.
