Mock Trial

Mock Trial

The purpose of the Indiana Mock Trial program is to stimulate and encourage a deeper understanding and appreciation of the American legal system. The program provides the opportunity for students to learn the judicial system through a hands-on experience. Through mock trials, students gain an understanding of society's approach to dispute resolution and justice through an experiential learning opportunity.

2017-2018 Dates
October 13: Case released
December 5: First deadline to submit case questions
December 8: First case Q&A posted
December 22: Registration deadline
January 16: Final deadline to submit case questions
January 19: Final case Q&A posted and drop deadline
February 10: South Bend Regional Competition at John Adams High School, South Bend
February 17: Hammond Regional Competition at U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana, Hammond
February 17: Indianapolis Regional Competition at City-County Building, Indianapolis
March 3-4: State Competition at City-County Building, Indianapolis
