Indiana High School Mock Trial
Imani is a petite high school junior with a bright smile and a head full of beautifully braided hair. She’s a junior who has participated in High School Mock Trial all three years at a northwest Indiana high school. She’s a confident speaker. “I’m more outspoken now,” she said from participating in mock trial. Her writing skills have improved, as have her grades in English and Social Studies. She has “connections” now having met two local attorneys who coach her team.
She started high school with plans to be an epidemiologist. After working with her teacher, the school's mock trial sponsor and a former journalist, she wanted to go to journalism school. Now she wants to be an attorney. Her team won the northwest regional competition. Her teacher told us they didn’t expect to get that far. You make it possible for Hoosier students like Imani to exceed her own expectations.
