Foundation Hiring Two Content Specialists
The Indiana Bar Foundation is hiring two Content Management Specialists. These advocates are passionate about supporting civil legal assistance for all Hoosiers, have some legal experience, and are willing to learn and use technology frequently. The individuals will will have real impact on our community through their creation of easy-to-understand legal resources and collaboration with other legal professionals around Indiana. There is one full-time position and one part-time position available.
Foundation Announces Mock Trial Will Be Held Online
In an abundance of caution and with health and safety as the priority, the Foundation has announced the 2022 Mock Trial Regionals and State Finals will be held online. December Newsletter Highlights 2021 Successes
2021 was a great year for the Foundation and the December Newsletter shares a rundown of the year's successes.
Foundation Awarded $13.1 Million Grant
The Indiana Bar Foundation was awarded a $13.1 million grant from the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority. The funds will be administered statewide for eviction prevention and housing stability legal services beginning in 2022. "The Foundation is uniquely
qualified and positioned to administer this critical program. Our network
of dedicated and hard-working legal aid providers around the state
will be our partners in delivering these services," said Foundation President and CEO
Charles Dunlap. Additional information will be released throughout the grant implementation process.
Bar Foundation Releases Mock Trial Case
The Indiana Bar Foundation is proud to release the 2021-2022 Indiana Mock Trial Case. Mock Trial introduces Hoosier students to the legal system and the judicial branch of government. Students also learn a deeper understanding and appreciation for the American legal system.
Mock Trial Diversity Initiative Presented by Krieg DeVault LLP
The Foundation has launched its High School Mock Trial Diversity Initiative, presented by Krieg DeVault LLP. This initiative seeks to to eliminate financial barriers to participation in the Foundation's Mock Trial program while providing schools mentors from the legal community. More than $50,000 has been raised from Krieg DeVault LLP, Barnes & Thornburg LLP, Lumina Foundation, Hall Render, Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, Ice Miller LLP, Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP, Quarles & Brady LLP, the Indiana State Bar Association's Health Law Section, and Stewart Richardson Deposition Services.
