We the People Volunteers
Over 600 students from 25 Indiana high schools and middle schools will display their knowledge of the U.S. Constitution December 8-10 at the We the People State Finals. John Tinker, lead plaintiff in Tinker v. Des Moines, will address the students in commemoration of the 50th anniversary recognizing students’ rights to free speech. Annual Awards Dinner
The Foundation will host its annual awards dinner on Sunday, December 8 at the Crowne Plaza Union Station, Indianapolis. John Tinker will give the keynote to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the landmark case Tinker v. Des Moines. 2019 Indiana Civic Health Index
The fourth, and latest, edition of the Indiana Civic Health Index seeks to turn the data studied over the past eight years into action in order to build on previous successes and address future challenges. Positively, in many community-related activities, such as volunteering, giving and community membership, Hoosiers participate in rates higher than the national average. However, voter registration and turnout, past and present, is consistently ranked well below the national average. Read the full report here.
